学生评价

• Public Accounting – I am public accounting major and business major. My advisor for this is GREAT!!!! He is always available and he helps me with any question I may have. The workload can be heavy but thats the major its self. There arnt a lot of internships offered by the school and its a lot of hard work to get it approved once you find one.
• I was able to get the amount of hours i need for Public accounting not just accounting. But other than that it wasnt something extremely different from other schools
• My school helps out each student in their interests. The school has a greek unit for my education, history and french. They have a lot of opportunities open for students and if they don't have something in particular that you may be thinking about, they will help you find it.
• They have all kinds of clubs and extra curricular items for students. They try to help students out as much as possible. They are very helpful in every way you can think. The curriculum is varied and challenges you.
• The professors and the 14 to 1 ratio are a godsend. There is a limited offering of majors.
• Our seminar is a 25 -30 page thesis on a novel. This major is not as rigorous as others.
• Okay for a Regional College – Tends to draw mostly locals from Ohio and very few beyond the state borders. Professors are mostly from unfamiliar grad schools and few stay after their contracts expire. The ones that do stay, should have left long ago. The faculty is slow to embrace new ideas and falls back on traditional methods of teaching. Older professors are difficult to connect with because they still see you as a child and not a young adult. Classes beyond the Freshman year tend to be small, so you had better go to class or risk failing it. I had a classmate who was on "Academic Probation" for 3 1/2 years and was finally kicked-out the semester before graduation. He later told me he felt he was allowed to stay that long because he paid his tuition in full with no aid. Essentially, the school kept a student for 3 1/2 years regardless of his academics because he was a cash-paying student. It appeared they had no intention of giving him a diploma. Last conversation I had with him was about how his parents were going to sue the school.
• Hard Working – There are many students at muskingum that are there for the degree. the school provides various ways where students can get help with a subject if they are struggling. The proffessors are awesome and always availiable when you need them.*(4)
