通讯工程（也作通信工程、信息工程、电信工程Telecommunications Engineering）是电子工程的重要分支，也是其中一个基础学科。其基础是建立于应用数学中的数理方程。通过以电磁波、声波或光波的形式把信息通过电脉冲，从发送端传输到一个或多个接收端的信息传输和信号处理过程的学科。*(1)
