• Professors are very helpful. Many resources are around.
• I'm in the school of education and the departments professors are all very close and make sure that their students have everything they need and are on the right track. I love my department and how helpful and close everyone is.
• Professors are great and really know their stuff, they also incorporate different teaching styles. Most use PowerPoint and lecture but others use group work and worksheets. Class sizes are very small so it's nice to get one on one attention from professors.
• I love being a Secondary Education/English major. It's really easy to find mentors at PBA, seeing as every professor- EVEN if they don't know you- are willing to help you with just about anything. The workload isnt even bad, and there are tons of internship oppertunities.
• The professors are all insanely nice, the classes are SO easy, and the registration process sucks.
• I originally came to PBA for the nursing program, which is great, but I am no longer doing nursing.
• Most of the professors are wonderful, but the academic content is not very challenging.
• The nursing program is rigorous but so worth it. If you apply for a position within the city you are more likely to be hired over others because of the good reputation this school has for its program. The workload doesn't get lighter until junior and senior year. During senior year they give you Fridays off which means more time to study and more time to yourself.
• The professors are great! Most of them sign up to host students for holidays if they aren't able to go back home due to finances. The professors take them in as their own, feed them and treat them like family. The professors here really care about your well being and check in with you if they see you have missed class a lot or if you are sick. They are willing to help you. The workload can be heavy at times but it's manageable. The Pharmacy program and Nursing program are one of the most vigorous but they are the best programs. Popular study areas include the library, the intercostal, the beach and the campus cafe.
• There are excellent job or internship opportunities here. The majority of professors have connections that can get you an internship. Also, a hospital, business, or wherever applies to your major, often seek you out and hold PBA to a high quality standard. *(4)
