• There are so many opportunities for business majors to get, they have internships and work studies.
• Business students get to be the first to enroll in classes, so I never have to worry about it being full.
• My major is a pretty popular one-Psych. But it's really helpful too, especially if you make friends a year or three older than you. they can tell you what they did and you can spin ideas off of them too!
• Some professors really stink. But a lot are good and helpful. A ton of work is involved, and I struggled to keep my grade point, didn't quite get what I wanted. But a lot of people have no trouble at all, so it's a person-to-person basis.
• I am studying to be a Spanish teacher, and the Spanish program offers a bunch of opportunities. The professors are very helpful in guiding you in the right direction. They know the students by name and are eager to help with anything you need. I'm currently looking into studying abroad and they are very helpful and excited for me. There are many internships available for foreign language speakers. I do wish we had our own place to study and meet with other students in the program. The workload so far has been sufficient.
• I chose a difficult major so it's not the easiest. It requires a heavy workload but there are plenty of available professors and study halls to help you. It offers plenty of internships for this field.
• The workload can be heavy. If you apply yourself you should be able to succeed.
• The worst thing in terms of academics at U of M Dearborn is it seems that some professors have just given up. I've only run into this a few times, and all it means is that you have to work harder in the class. Registration is easy, you meet with a counselor who advises you on what classes to take, and as long as you do the proper research before picking a professor, you'll be fine.
• Although my school is not very big it offers its students many helpful programs and opportunities. The programs available are some of the best in the country. Our alumni program has given over 70% of graduates jobs directly after graduation. The professors have extensive knowledge and experience in the fields that they are teaching about which helps in all facets of the learning process. They are helpful and for the most part understand that the workloads must be understandable and not too extensive. Internships are available through the school as well as the programs and clubs offered in the business school. Computers are available for all students as well as study areas. The tutoring programs is free and sessions can be scheduled from Monday through Friday. Most schools charge by the hour so the fact that this service is free just adds to the overall positive feelings that I have about the school. *(4)
