学生评论:
- Academics: This used to be an elite school, but now they will take anyone who can pay the almost $50,000 tuition and dorms. Spending that much money might be worth it at Bard or Colgate, but Wells is definitely not worth it since the students come with few skills and many have learning issues, or just want to party. It's become a really expensive remedial school. Most Profs just give As to keep students paying the tuition. Many professors have left the school in the last few years, and because the school is small, this may mean that one person quits and a major isn't really offered anymore.
- Academics: The English major is one of the best majors at Wells College. One can concentrate in either Creative Writing or Literature. Each concentration gives the student the unique ability to branch out. Similarly, each concentration is full of wonderful professors.
- Academics: The professors are very helpful and Wells has some of the best professors around. Also the classes are usually small, around 20 students, which provides a more one on one interaction and a better understanding of the material because the professors are more available than if they had hundreds of students.
- Academics: My school do not offerer a good selection of Majors which is a problem for a lot of students. We have some of the best professors and relationships with our professors. Wells require each student to do two internships in there field of study which is a great way to gain experience and very beneficial for each students academic career.
- Academics: The campus pretty much has TAs for every subject and they usually have flexible hours for students. They are great because they are students just like us making it easier to actually seek help if you're not confident enough to ask the professor. There are other tutoring/homework programs here. The registration process is hard at first but gets easier once you get the hang of it.
- Academics: The staff are great. They try to create flexible schedules for students and try to be available as much as possible because they actually want to see you succeed. Overall they're nice and understanding. The work is not bad at all. It's only bad when you're a procrastinator. Everything is new and more in-depth than high school. It's not review. The school has a whole program so it can be easier to access internships and to get jobs.
- Academics: Great Small Classes. I came to Wells College because I love to be in small classes and the campus is just absolutely gorgeous (the lake is awesome). All the professors I have had so far are super helpful when you need help. The workload depends on your classes but for the most part the transition from high school work to college was a bit hard. Expect great teachers not easy ones, they all have high expectations for you and will give you a significant amount work. The advantage of a small school also includes that the teacher knows your name and you can become more connected with them and that they are available for most of the part. It is not hard to find the time to talk to a teacher and ask for help because their schedule isn't too busy and so it does not conflict too much with yours.
- Academics: Professors Are Amazing – The professors at Wells really make the college what it is. The largest class size is about 40 and that is normally for 101 courses in Sciences. The average class is about 12 to 15 and the professors are just brilliant. They know everyone by name and enjoy working within a small class environment. The instructors always attempt to work one and one when you ask and they're office hours make it easy for students who need help.
- Academics: The professor's aren't that bad it just depends on what classes you are taking and how well the professor teaches. There are some great professors and some not. It basically goes out to any university/college. The work load isn't bad depending what you are majoring in or what classes you are taking. Popular study areas is the library, meeting up with friends, dorm lounges or preferably your dorm if you want. Getting into the college is very easy.
- Academics: I go to Wells College and there aren't really that many courses for my major. So I dont really feel that I am getting the challenge that I need because the classes are all discussion based which is good but the professors do not go further in depth about the topic of the course. *(5)
