1. 学生背景：北京大学；面试时间：2010年1月12日

今天早上当初套磁的教授打的，我和另一个同寝室的，他八点，我九点。没想到只是各谈了5分钟，可谓闪电速度。

室友的：

• P: 你为什么要学xxxxxx
• P：研究经历？
• P: 某个研究细节问题（不知道是啥）
• P: 你还有什么问题？

我的：

寒暄一番，事先声明forgive me if I am nervous

P: Why do you pursue PhD in xxxxx?

M: Blabla

P: I know your research is xxxx, and you xxxxx, how do you use xxxxx to xxxx?

M: Blabla（似乎到最后他还是不知道我是怎么做的）

P: Do you have any questions?

M: 两个问题，学费和南加州的居住环境，顺便说北京太吵（这个人刚到过北京估计深有感受）

P: OK. 两周内给结果。

M: I really apprecite you give me the chance to talk to you. Thank you.

P: Bye

M: Bye

2. 学生背景：复旦大学；面试时间：2008年1月15日

USC，美国人,harvard的本科,英语很流利｡我犯了个精华区里说过的错误，刚开始说的太快，让对方误以为可以放开说，顿时傻了。

P：hello, how are u

M：hello, you must be blablabla

P：ok, I have blablabla, so I want to know what is your research interest and blablabla

M： 开始忽悠,基本上就是ps的改进版回答，我说我们有climbing team，他说太好了，他狂喜欢hiking,可以跟我混,晕｡

P：学过啥相关课程么?因为你本科不是earth science的,我们需要学blablabla

M：我打算自学blablabla

P：very good! It helps a lot!

M：我还打算学blablabla

P：ok，你有什么问题要问我

以上一共4分钟

M：I know USC locates in downtown of LA, so I wonder if it is safe enough, u know, in big cities such as Shanghai & LA, there are a lot of problems

P：er……in fact, it is not very safe here, but blablabla

M：I am a little worried about my background since I have not learned blablabla, do u have any instruction?

P：blablabla

M： by the way, is it far from the campus to staples center? I am a big fan of LA lakers, u know, the famous basketball team……

P：yes, u can walk there 大笑

M：表达兴奋(有点假,事先已经知道了……)

后面继续问问题，有生活的、有钱的、还有一年能出去玩几次。老师很nice的解答，最后老师说2周内出结果，要我关注邮箱，我说我后天就去四川爬山了，只有手机，老师说ok。手机足够了，然后又说刚到过北京，traffic真是恐怖，说LA要好很多，在traffic方面,虽然也堵，又说让多看看计算机的程序什么的，以后再联系。

以上一共20分钟，over，要等2星期看看了。
