• i came to north park because it was a small school and i hoped it would be user friendly with the teachers being one on one It was all that and more Everyone is very concerned about your success The classes are hard but not insurmountable. The professore are great
• i am an elementary education major and the classes and professors are great Very willing to help and work with you one on one
• Nursing at North Park is great. It isn't super easy to get into the actual program, as you have to take 2 years of prerequisites and acquire grades of a C or higher in order to qualify. They accept 48 students per semester, and you stay with that group of students throughout the nursing program. The faculty does an excellent job in arranging our clinical sites and making sure we have the practice we need before we perform anything on an actual patient. I am confident that I will feel prepared as a nurse when I graduate. Because all my classes have 48 students in them, it is sometimes tough to get one-on-one time with the professor, and students can be pretty competitive. It is important to stay level-headed and not let small things get to you.
• Most of the professors care a lot about the individual students and our success, but there are a fair number of faculty who simply seem to be there to pay the bills and get home at the end of the work day. In my larger nursing classes, it is hard to acquire a personal relationship with the professor, as they are busy with everyone else. The level of academic scholarship ranges between majors.
• The School is somewhat known for their Psychology program, the workload is even distributed between by general course and my Psychology classes, the facilities are available for any time use for NPU students.
• Professors are kind and intellectual; However, class sizes are small and sections are limited.
• I am still working on my general classes, but the atmosphere of my major's staff is friendly and helpful.
• Overall I have had a great experience with the academic aspect of NPU.
• The Professors are very passionate about their feild... It makes learning enjoyable.
• North Park is very Academic focused, but small enough to aid individual student needs.
• Sociology is a great major because you use your skills each day. I have more sociological perspective on this campus and everywhere I go. I feel that the professor are so willing to encourage and meet with you anytime. My professor invited a group of students to her home to hear about job opportunities she knows are available and how to prepare.
• There are amazing and well rounded professors here and if you don't learn its because you don't want to. *(4)
