• Academic Experience: The workload is immense; however, it is an accelerated program. The facilities are cramped because the program is new to the school and they had to make an existing space work. There are no internship/job opportunities that I am aware of at this time. The nursing program is small which is good for individualized help. The instructors want people to succeed. The nursing students get close because the classes are small.
• Academic Experience: I have had good experiences with most of the professors. Some seem a little unfair and some have workloads that astronomical. There is always help in the academic center. Tutoring is sometimes not the best because it is an unpaid peer and they don't know the material any better than other students. The registration process is easy for new and returning students. The nursing program and deaf studies are what this school is currently known for, the interpreting program used to among one of the few.
• Campus Quality: All of the buildings are old with the exception of the Arts and Science center. The other buildings are either old victorian houses or old schools that have been revamped. The Architecture is nice and the buildings are well upkept. The school is small so anyone looking for the "college experience" is not going to get it there.
• Campus Resources: The library is beautiful, unfortunately the access is terrible. The hours were cut due to funding and many of the students are non-traditional so the hours don't necessarily work for them. The parking is terrible! The lot is tiny and faculty park in there for their work day and students park there for classes in Founder's Hall because there is a serious lack of parking and nobody wants to park in the Arts and Science Center of Greenwoods Hall and walk.
• Campus Resources: There are labs in two separate buildings, however one is unmanned. I think the main lab should be moved from Founder's Hall to the ASB due to the parking situation. Printing is terrible because students are limited to 10 pages due again, to funding. Wireless access has gotten easier; however, Blackboard, the system used to access classes, is slow and frequently malfunctions. The speed is pretty good most of time and stuff loads fairly quickly, except if you are using Blackboard at the college to take and exam, then it is slow, slow, slow.*(4)
