纺织及服装设计专业主要是研究设计、生产和销售各类服装及其他纺织产品以及纺织与服装的历史、社会价值以及经济效益等。

本专业主要可以学习如何编织、勾圈、钩针、打印和丝网等；将传统手工工艺和染色、色素以及图案设计等基础方法，还可以通过学习其历史和当代纺织服装的发展趋势，帮助了解与认识业界的背景；大三阶段，学生会开始关注特定的媒体或技术，并开始发展自己的服装理念。*(1)
