• Student Body: The diversity at NICC is incredible the student population is so diverse, there are foreign exchange students, many non traditional students, NICC is a mixing pot of all kinds of different people.
• Academic Experience: Northwest Iowa Community College's nursing program is very highly regarded in the community; I feel that going to Northwest Iowa Community College for nursing not only gives me a one up on other graduating nurses because the curriculum is covered in such great detail but also that I am not paying university prices while I work toward my practical nursing degree.
• Academic Experience: I really enjoy the professors; they respect us and get to know us. The curriculum is sufficient, and class registration goes smoothly. The workload is workable with my schedule; however, special study options are restricted to those whose parents did not finish 4-year college, whose parents present a financial need, or those who represent a need for study help. This can be difficult for those who plan to pay college for themselves but would still like study assistance.
• Academic Experience: The professors at NICC (any that I've had) are so passionate about what they teach and I feel as though they wish to enstill the same passion onto you, they don't just stand up front and lecture straight out of a book, they really get into it and explain it in terms to help you to better understand the topic. The registration process is so simple, the website is very easy to manuever or if you wish to use an admissions specialist they are so aweome with helping you pick out what you need for your degree and what is going to be beneficial to you.
• Campus Resources: NICC recently put in a whole new library, it is beautiful there are study rooms that are for the most part relatively quiet. The student councel is great about the activities and spreading the word about the activities. The aesthetics of the college are continually improving.
• Campus Resources: There are multiple computer labs throughout the campus, with access to printers which for now are free to students to print whatever they wish. The schools network can be a bit sluggish but nothing too major.
• Campus Resources: The exercise facility available to students is fantastic. They provide free membership with payment of activity fee. This allows for use of the equipment as well as training classes.*(4)
