金融硕士面试经验汇总
1. 学生背景：985；面试时间：2016年2月23日
【申请专业：Master of Quantitative Finance】An interview (15mins) with Zuzana （第三轮） 面试官小哥挺年轻的，皮肤略黑，人很好。
Timeline：
1月27日提交申请
2月9日收到确认邮件，被划入Round 3，开始under review
2月10日重新找我要了份简历，把工作实习经历再说得再详细些
2月17日收到面试通知
2月23日23:00面试，with Zuzana（应该是捷克或斯洛伐克人，语速较快有口音）
22:45就加了好友，23:05才打来，说是没找到我Skype号
具体面试内容如下：
- 从哪里听说我们program的(第一个居然问了这个)
- Why finance?
- Why Carlson?(这个是放在后面问的)
- 说说Resume (Internship & Full-time)
- Long term goal
- Future position毕业之后你会如何胜任这个future position
- Personal hobby
- Strength & weakness
- Course makes you excited (反正是有个excited, 理解成interested in 应该可以)
- 可以操作哪些tool(貌似是数据分析的，就听到个tool答了SPSS)
- 失败的经历，从中学到什么(因为我答了万事应该准备个Plan B, 所以下一题就自然问了)
- What's your Plan B if 被UMN拒
- 还申了哪些学校？如果都录了会如何选择
- 再说下short term & long term goal
- Q&A环节：学习时间可否延长，好不好找实习，什么时候出结果(答复3.15之前)
整个面试持续十五分钟，期间Zuzana说了几次“wonderful”。
（附）个人背景及申请结果
- 国内某985理工院校的工商管理专业本科
- GPA 3.24，数学非常弱两个学期的微积分都是60飘过
- TOEFL 95，GMAT630
- 学生工作经历丰富（班长+志愿者协会会长），志愿服务经历丰富
- 只有一次在某省属国企下一个贸易公司3个月的毕业实习经历......毕业后开始在这里工作直到现在
录取结果（2016 Summer & Fall MSF）：
- Offer: U of Utah, UCSC(MSAE&F)
- AD: Purdue, Rutgers(Mfina), ASU, UTD, U of Buffalo, UIC
- Rej: UIUC, NEU, UMN

详细背景：双非一本 环境工程本科 GPA2.8（是的你没看错） T101 G150+167 实习四段（国内tier1/2 商行/券商，都是front end） 社团经历一般般，但有丰富leadership经历
