• Academic Experience: I have been blessed to have worked with several amazing and knowledgeable professors. Even if I didn't agree with their teaching style, I always learned a lot of valuable information. Education programs are very heavy in research, reading, and writing. I have been encouraged by professors to enter my research into essay contests. The workload is intense and can be overwhelming at times, but I'm happy to do it if it means getting my dream job in the end!
• Campus Resources: The campus is kept incredibly clean. KVCC has a state of the art wellness and fitness center that is available to currently enrolled students for free. There is also a library with a plethora of literature and research resources, as well as computers and a $10 tab for free printing at $.10/copy. The school also has a testing center and tutors that are free to students.
• Academic Experience: I will be taking many important classes that have a high amount of work, but the majority of that work will directly pertain to the nursing program. There are many internships and job opportunities available for nurses at KVCC. As a matter of fact, I will be able to apply for a nursing position at either Borgess or Bronson after finishing the nursing program and earning an associate's degree in applied science.
• Academic Experience: The program is going well; most of my classes are the general math, science, all over high school classes, but I do enjoy taking them again. The workload just depended on the teacher, some teachers didn't give many assignments to do and others focused mainly on online assignments. Work was work, trying to make us learn of subjects.
• Campus Resources: Kalamazoo Valley's institution is very nice comparing to other community colleges in the State of Michigan. Both Anna Whitten hall and Texas Township are nice; Texas Township provides more services to students with their indoor Student Commons with the beautiful scenery of live trees and plants. Their Athletic Center has numerous of machinery which are all well maintained, cleaned and easy to access. The Library in Texas Township oversees the beautiful forest out back, with its large windows providing natural light and harmony (a perfect place to study).*(4)
