海洋科学（Marine Science）是研究海洋的自然现象、性质及其变化规律，以及开发利用海洋的知识体系。俄勒冈州称海洋学为“the application of the sciences to the study of the oceans”（海洋应用科学），其涉及领域广泛，包括：生物学、化学、物理学、地理、数学与地质学。
