Postgraduate taught entry requirements

For 2025 admissions, please refer to University of Chinese Accepted Institutions 2025. Offer to entry to the University of Glasgow is entirely at the discretion of the University. We will only consider master's degree applications from graduates of Chinese universities listed in the table, and normally accept a Bachelor degree with the following grade equivalencies:
- For programmes requiring a UK 2.1 Honours degree: Bachelor degree with 70%/75%/80%/85% (depending on university attended)
- For programmes requiring a UK 2.2 Honours degree: Bachelor degree with 65%/70%/75%/80% (depending on university attended)
Grades given are MINIMUM entry requirements and do not guarantee an offer. In addition to the minimum weighted GPA requirements, for programmes with core module requirements we also value on academic performance on those relevant modules. Specific requirements can be found on each postgraduate taught degree programme page.
For Sino-foreign cooperative universities with independent legal status (such as Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, New York University Shanghai, etc.), we recognize the grading system as equivalent to that of the foreign university, typically requiring a minimum GPA corresponding to a UK 2:1 or 2:2 degree, with specific requirements detailed in the list. For applicants from articulation programmes and top-up degree programmes, please find our admission principles from notes above the table.
