统计学分数理统计和经济统计两个方向。其中数理统计是属于数学科目里面的一个分支，数学从某种意义上说可以是统计学的基础。统计偏向分支，更加细化，没有数学那么宽泛；经济统计是偏向统计学知识在经济中的应用的。
